Munetsi On The Brink Of Joining Derby County
English Championship side Derby County are close to finalising a loan move for Zimbabwe Warriors and Stade De Reims defensive midfielder Nyasha Marshall Munetsi before the transfer window closes on Monday night
Derby County manager Wayne Rooney is looking to bolster his squad and has confirmed they will be players arriving to the squad before the transfer window closes on Monday night.
“There will be players coming in in the next 48 hours,” Rooney confirmed.
“I am hoping to have players in, I am fairly confident there will be (players in).”
“We are quite far down the line with a few players.
According to French publication RMC, Derby County have already made an offer for the 24-year-old former Orlando Pirates midfielder and is expected to head to the United Kingdom on Monday to finalise the deal after agreeing personal terms.
Munetsi has not been part of Reims’ match day squad for the past couple of matches and the team is believed to have agreed to let their midfielder leave on loan with an option to buy.
Munetsi joined Reims in 2019, and has been a regular in Ligue 1 this season, making 16 appearances for the team. Predominantly as a defensive midfielder, but he can also step into an attacking midfielder role if needed.
