PROUD MOMENT FOR MAPISA AS HE STARTED AGAINST LA LIGA GIANTS VILLARREAL

Zimbabwe international and Zamora F. C goalie Martin Mapisa realised a dream after selected to start against Laliga giants Villarreal in the Copa Del Ray second round match on Tuesday.

Although Zamora lost the match 4-1 to inform Spanish giants Villarreal F. C, who are currently 4th on the Laliga log table, it was Mapisa’s dream to get a feel of Spanish top flight football.

Besides, it is every lower division player’s dream to rub shoulders with players in the top flight league.

The 22-year-old former Aces Academy graduate played the full match as he slowly claim a starting position at the Secunda B division side.

It is Mapisa’s second consecutive start of the season after making his first start of the season in the Copa Del Ray first round win against SD Logrones in December to book a date against Unai Emery coached Villarreal side.

The highly rated former Velez FC shot stopper continues to make huge progress in Spain ever since he arrived in the country in 2018, moving from Tercera division 9 (seventh tier) to Secunda B division (third tier) within three years.
