Chicksen Rewarded With A New 2-Year Contract
Zimbabwe Warriors left-back Adam Chicksen has been rewarded with a two-year deal at Notts County following an outstanding 2022-23 season under Luke Williams.
The 31-year old on fire defender who first joined the Magpies in 2020 has risen to become one of the club’s most important player due to his Incridible performances this campaign.
This season Chicksen has been undroppable notching 43 league games and scoring 10 goals to help the Magpies to a second spot on the log with 106 points from 45 games and a possibility of promotion to League two via playoffs.
In a joint statement from the club’s board of directors and head coach Luke Williams read:
“We’re delighted to reward the immense contribution that Adam has made to the club.
“As a player, we think he has a very unique skillset – incredible stamina and determination which compliment his qualities at both ends of the pitch.
“As a person, he has embraced the club’s philosophy superbly and become an amazing role model for his team-mates, leading by example day-in, day-out.
“He’s a huge asset in so many ways and we know our supporters will share our happiness that he has committed his future to us.”
Chicksen appreciated the gesture and is looking forward to spending more time with the team.
