Warriors Received Cash Boost

Zimbabwe warriors could pocket more than US$65 000 each should they win all the remainder games at the Africa Cup of nations including the final, starting from their game against Malawi today.

FBC Holdings, a local financial institution in Zimbabwe on Friday pledged a US$1000 each for every player including the technical team for every match the Warriors win at the tournament.

The forex brokers made a further pledge of a house for each and every player (worth US$60 000) if they happen to win the final and bring the trophy home.

The partnership deal which took place at a private function in Harare on Friday was announced by the Minister of Sports & Recreation, Kirsty Coventry.

Zimbabwe warriors will play Malawi this evening in a must win second group B match at Bafoussam Omnisport.

They will round up their group matches against Guinea on the 18th of January.

The Warriors are yet to go past the group stages of the competition in all their appearances since 2004.
