Unstoppable Zemura Leads Bournemouth Back To The Summit
In-Form Zimbabwe Warriors rising star Jordan Zemura inspired Bournemouth to another great win after scoring a stunner solo goal to seal a 0-2 win away to Bristol City on Saturday.
The 21-year-old who was coming from an international assignment with Zimbabwe Warriors scored on the stroke of half time after making space inside the box to strike a stunning left-footed shot from an angle and right into the top corner of the net as he doubled the scores and seal the three points for Bournemouth.
The result takes the Cherries back on top of the Championship league table with 28 points from twelve games and a three-point cushion gape ahead of second placed West Bromwich.
Zemura who has played every minute of Championship football this season, has quietly been Bournemouth’s ace card so far this season scoring three goals from the left back in his twelve appearances.
He is one of the players with more playing minutes in the Championship league so far this season at the club with 1080 minutes, only matched by Lloyd Kelly.
The Zimbabwe-born overlapping defender has already layed down credentials as one of Zimbabwe Warriors’ next ‘big thing’ in just few games after making his international debut in the Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Algeria in November 2020.
His standout performances were the only comfort to Zimbabwe Warriors fans as the national team bowed out of the world cup qualifiers in a back to back encounter against Ghana on the 9th and 12th of October respectively.
Bournemouth are still unbeaten so far in the English Championship League.
