Mutizwa Passes Kanyeza To Become Golden Arrows’ All Time Top GoalScorer
Zimbabwe Warriors hitman Knox Mutizwa (27) has become Golden Arrows’ all-time leading goalscorer after netting in the the team’s 3-1 win against Morumo Gallants on Sunday.
The goal was Mutizwa’s 2nd for Abafana Bes’thende in five Dstv premiership matches so far this season.
The goal takes Mutizwa’s all time Premier League goals for Arrows to 40 in 96 matches, overtaking Mabhuti Kanyeza, who scored 39 goals for the team in his career.
Kanyeza became a club legend during his five seasons at the KwaZulu-Natal based club between 2002 to 2007 featuring in 102 official matches scoring 38 league goals and a total of 43 goals in all competitions.
Kanyeza who had a nomadic career after leaving Arrows in 2007 returned back to the club in 2015 to 2018 season, but only featured five times and scored a goal in the process to bring his total to 39 league goals.
