Ghana’s Black Stars Announce Provisional Squad To Face Zimbabwe Warriors
The newly appointed Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac announced his 32-man provisional squad to face Zimbabwe Warriors in a back to back World cup qualifiers group matches in October
The Black Stars squad is highlighted by the return of inform Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, alongside Alfred Duncan (Fiorentina), Tariq Fosu (Brentford), Caleb Ekuban (Genoa) who all missed the first two World cup qualifiers group matches against Ethiopia and South Africa in September.
Black Stars first choice goalkeeper Richard Ofori will miss out after sustaining an injury against South Africa.
The Serbian coach has called in goalkeeper Jojo Wallocott who who plays in the English fourth-tier side Swindon Town and locally based Richard Attah and Ibrahim Danland from Hearts of Oak and King Faisal respectively to replace the injured Ofori.
Rajevac also handed debut call-up to Turkey based and Yeni Malatyaspor forward Benjamin Tetteh.
The Black Stars are expected to begin training early next week before the announcement of the final squad to face the Warriors at the Cape Coast stadium.
