Joventut Announce ‘Emmaculate’ Signing
Spanish second division side CF Joventut Almassora have announced the arrival of their new signing in Mighty Warriors midfielder Emmaculate Msipa who joined from Zimbabwe’s Black Rhinos Queens on a one year deal.
The 28-year old Women’s League Golden Boot and the inaugural Footballers Union of Zimbabwe Best Player of the Year 2019 award winner, was unveiled on Saturday after arriving in Spain on Thursday.
The move to Spain comes after Msipa’s impressive season with champions Black Rhinos Queens in 2019 before the disruption of the 2020 campaign due to the Covid-19.
The Budiriro born star has been part of the Mighty Warriors since 2010, representing the country in several international competitions such as African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON), All Africa Games, the COSAFA Women’s Championships.
She was part of the historic 2016 Mighty Warriors Olympic qualifying team that competed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she scored a famous goal against Australia.
She becomes the second Mighty Warriors star to join a big European side after teammate Rutendo Makore who played for Spanish topflight side Sporting Club de Huelva during the 2017-2018 season.
Joventut participate in the Segunda division Feminina , which is the second level of league competition for Spanish women’s football.
