Hadebe’s Injury Not As Serious As First Thought
In-form Warriors’ and Yeni Malatyaspor defender Teenage Hadebe’s injury is not as serious as first thought and he could be ready to play again in two weeks time, Soca263 has learnt.
The 25-year-old former Kaizer Chiefs center back limped off in the 77th minutes after suffering an acute thigh injury during Friday ’s 0-0 draw against Fatih Karagumruk, in the Turkish Superlig.
A diagnostic tests that was performed after the match excluded any muscle or sheath damage for the Zimbabwean, but only thigh contusion was observed.
Medical staff at Yeni Malatyaspor will keep on monitoring his progress, but a ‘dead leg’ usually takes less than a couple of weeks to recover if it’s not severe.
Hadebe is likely to miss Malatyaspor’s Superlig midweek encounter against Goztepe on Thursday but should be back for the home game against Trabzospor on the 8th of February.
The latest update on his injury comes as a relief to the Warriors who are about to begin preparations for a ‘must win’ Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, group H encounter against the Zebras of Botswana on the 22nd of March 2021.
