Takwara Continues To Build On His Momentum

Zimbabwe Warriors defender, Gerald Takwara who recently had a remarkable international break with the national team, continued with his fine form after scoring for his Iraq side Al Mina’a on his return to club football as they won 2-0 against Al Naft on Saturday.

The bustling defender scored in the 48th minute of the game to double the scores for Al Mina’a after Alaa Abdul-Zahra’s opener in the 4th minute.

The results leave Al- Mina’a 15th on the log with 28 points from 25 games, further guaranteeing their safety from relegation in the top division- the Iraq stars League.

Takwara played a pivotal role in securing a commendable draw against Benin and a hard-fought stalemate against Nigeria. His performances not only showcased his defensive prowess but also highlighted his ability to contribute to the team’s overall strategy, earning him praise from fans and analysts alike.
