Former LA Galaxy Youngster Seeks To Revive Career With Simba Bhora
Former US collegiate soccer standout and LA Galaxy’s 2022 MLS Super Draft select Farai Mutatu is looking to get his career back on track with Zimbabwe premier league log leaders Simba Bhora.
The 24-year-old gifted forward who made a name for himself on the US collegiate soccer scene with the Michigan State University (MSU), before selected by Los Angeles Galaxy in the 2022 MLS Super Draft, is currently training with Simba Bhora where he is aiming to get a deal with the high flying castle larger premier soccer league side.
Mutatu’s high promising career took a back seat soon after being drafted into the LA Galaxy side and was tipped to be one of the top youngsters to watch in the MLS 2022-3 season following an impressive pre-season training camp with Galaxy senior team scoring in almost every match he featured, but eventually could not be able to play in the MLS due to complications surrounding his immigration paperwork.
The former MSU graduate previously trained with Gweru-based side Sheasham last season after returning from the USA, but was only to maintain his fitness as he waited for LA Galaxy to facilitate his paperwork.
However it looks like Mutatu has put all the hindrances behind him as he aim to re-oriented his football career back in his motherland.
The Shamva-based Simba Bhora are enjoying a purple patch in the Zimbabwe top flight league, leading the pack with 43 points after 22 games, and are targeting their first ever premiership title.
Mutatu if back to his best, will be a big scoop for Simba Bhora’s title ambitions.
