Kadewere Hits Target In Nantes Pre-season Match
Zimbabwe Warriors forward Tinotenda Kadewere scored his first goal ahead of the new season as FC Nantes registered a 2-1 win over Stade Lavalloise on Saturday.
The 28-year-old striker who completed a permanent move to Nantes in July after surviving relegation last season opened the scores in the first 24 minutes of the game following a great team effort to put the French Ligue 1 side ahead. Moses Simon restored the lead in the 60th minutes after the French Ligue 2 side leveled the scores before the half time to finish the match on a 2-1 win.
It is Kadewere’s first goal after four games in pre-season preparations.
The former Harare City striker had a dream start at Nantes last season as he scored a brace on debut in a 4 – 1 win French Cup match against lowly Pau.
However, the Warriors forward struggled to find the back of the net during the season as he only managed to score just a goal in 13 Ligue 1 matches.
The Warriors forward is hoping to reignite his form at Nantes ahead of the new season.
Nantes will play fellow Ligue 1 side Lorient on Wednesday 7th August before wrapping up their preseason friendlies with a game against English premier league side Crystal Palace on the 11th of August.
