Nakamba Put On An Impeccable Performance In Luton Town’s First Premier League Win
Warriors midfielder Marvelous Nakamba produced a masterful display as Luton Town booked their first ever premier league win with a 2-1 win over Everton on Saturday.
Despite Tom Lokyer and Carlton Morris stealing the show with the team’s goals, Nakamba also deserve plaudits for his performance in the middle of the park.
The Zimbabwean was instrumental in neutralising Everton’s threats from the midfield winning six tackles, two interceptions and won nine out of sixteen duels he delved into.
Nakamba had a pass accuracy of 74% to his name and 49 touches of the ball.
Offensively, Nakamba was able to contribute with one key pass which led to an scoring opportunity for the team.
He was voted Man of the match in a social media poll conducted by the club. The midfield maestro won 51% of the votes ahead of Chieo Ogbene (11%), Carlton Morris (27%), Alfie Doughty (11%).
The win comes after the Hatters’ first premier league point following a draw in their previous encounter against Wolves.
