Hadebe Wins First Trophy With Huston Dynamo
Inform Warriors defender Teenage Hadebe put a ‘cherry on top’ of his Huston Dynamo career after winning his first silverware with the club as they upset Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami 2-1 to lift the US-Open cup on Wednesday.
Hadebe who joined the MLS side in June 2021 was introduced in the 90th minute as Huston Dynamo took advantage of the absence of Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba who were watching from the stands due to injuries to win their first trophy since 2018.
Hadebe has had a good career so far at Huston Dynamo starting in 47 out of 49 Major League soccer games he has featured in so far since making his debut against Vancouver Whitecaps on 20 July 2021.
He has contributed with three goals and an assist so far and was named defender and Newcomer of the year at the club on his debut season.
Hadebe also holds the record for the latest non-penalty goal in the MLS regular season history after scoring in the 101st minutes to rescue a late draw against FC Dallas.
