Baka Named Player Of The Month At His New Club In Spain
Former Zimbabwe under-23 midfielder Abubakar Moffat has been voted the best player for the month of April at El Palo after a series of good performances in the Tercera División Group – 9 league.
The 25-year-old incoming Warriors defensive midfielder scooped 44% of the votes beating competition from teammates Benito Del Valle 23%, Victor Vazquez 21% and Roberto Sierra 12% to be crowned player of the month for April- his first major recognition at the club.
Baka has played four games in the month of April, scoring his first goal over the weekend in 1-0 win over Torre Del Mar to get an advantage in the two leg playoffs and has been outstanding in the midfield helping El Palo F. C to two wins and two draws- a total of eight points from possible 12 points in the month of April as they finish the season on third position with 63 points from 30 matches.
They are in the promotional playoffs alongside Real Jaen, Atletico Malagueno and Torre Del Mar who all finished in the top five of the log table.
The Aces academy graduate has featured in 16 league matches so far this season for El Palo, since he joined the team from CD Estepona at the end of December 2022.
Baka has been in Spain since 2018 starting at Velez academy before moving to CD Almunica, FC Malaga and CD Estepona respectively. He has won two promotions already with FC Malaga City and CD Estepona.
