Hadebe Shines In Houston Draw

Zimbabwe Warriors star defender Teenage Hadebe was in exceptional form for Huston Dynamo as they drew 1-all away to New York Redbulls on Sunday.

The 27-year-old former Highlanders and Kaizer Chiefs center-back has played in every one of the club’s seven MLS games so far this season having again started against New York Redbulls where he was rated second best player on the field with a 7.3 rating behind Redbulls midfielder Christian Casseres who rated 8.0 according to Sofarscore after creating four goal scoring chances for his team as Redbulls scored in the last minute of the game to force a 1-1 draw.

However, Hadebe’s overall contributions were vital in the 1-1 draw as he made three interceptions, two tackles and blocked two shots on target to neutralise Redbulls’ attack.

It got better as the Zimbabwean made eleven clearances in the game, the highest of all players on the field and won six out eight of the duels he was involved in.

The Warriors defender has been consistent in all seven MLS games he has played so far- helping Huston Dynamo secure three wins and three clean sheets in the league, registering 10 points from seven games.

He has been with the MLS side since June 2021 and has played 22 MLS games last season scoring two goals in the process.
