Kadewere Back At OL Training Amid Huge Speculation About His Future
Tinotenda Kadewere has returned to Olympic Lyonnais training with uncertainty continuing to surround his future at the club.
The 26-year-old Zimbabwean, whose contract with Les Gones expires until 2024, has been heavily linked with an exit from the club after enduring a tough season due to injuries.
On Saturday the Zimbabwean returned to OL’s Groupama training center, where they did physical tests and mascular work, and had an opportunity to meet with the rest of the team.
Kadewere appeared relaxed and in a buoyant mood as he was pictured in training with his teammates.
Lyon are reportedly willing to loan out or sell Kadewere, but it seems a suitable destination is not yet available for the former Ligue 2 Golden boot winner.
The Warriors forward has been initially targeted by Stade Brest in the French Ligue 1, and several clubs have since came along including some in France, Turkey and Germany.
The latest club to show interest are Bundesliga side, SC Schalke04 who are believed to have made contact with Lyon concerning the player’s availability.
Schalke sporting director Rouven Schröder is believed to have been tracking Kadewere for a long time and is hoping for his good network in France to help convince the player, and to see wether the deal would be financially feasible, according to reports from Germany.
Kadewere who is looking to better his career, is not shying away from tough competition and is targeting a move to one of the top leagues in the world or rather stay at Lyon and fight for his place.
It remains to be seen how far true the latest rumors are, but Germany seems to be an ideal destination for Kadewere- so as Olympic Lyonnais if he decides to stay, as he will have the chance to fight for his place and get his status back at Les Gones.
