Burnley Set To Make Fresh Attempt To Sign Kadewere

Struggling English Premier League Side Burnley FC are reportedly planning a second attempt to sign Lyon and Zimbabwean forward Tinotenda Kadewere in summer after failing to secure his signature in January.

According to The Sun, The Clarets manager Sean Dyche plans to reunite the 26-year-old Zimbabwean striker with former Lyon team-mate Maxwel Cornet, even with their Premier League status in the air.

Burnley had an eye on Kadewere and several other forwards across Europe in January transfer including Croatian forward Mislav Orsic, but ended the transfer window with one addition – the deadline day signing of Netherlands international forward Wout Weghorst, thereby failing to strengthen the squad.

Kadewere who recently came back from a long-term injury has struggled for form of late, failing to score in 11 Ligue 1 and Europa League matches played so far.

However, the Zimbabwean had an impressive season last year for Lyon scoring eleven goals in 33 games.

Burnley are currently rooted at the bottom of the premier league table with 14 points from 21 games and it remains to be seen whether Kadewere will be convinced to join the Clarets in their struggle for survival.
