Musona Still Confident
Zimbabwe Warriors skipper Knowledge Musona insist the squad remain as confident as ever despite suffering a huge blow in their World cup bid against Ghana on Saturday.
The Warriors were beaten 3-1 away to Ghana on Saturday to remain anchored at the bottom of Group G log with one point from three games.
The result leaves the Warriors technically out of contention for the World Cup qualifying spot.
South Africa who beat Ethiopia 3-1 yesterday are leading group G with 7pts from 3 games, a point ahead of second placed Ghana With only three matches remaining to play in Group B.
However, Warriors skipper, Knowledge Musona has asserted his belief that it is not over until it is over.
“We are going to fight until the end,” said Musona.
“It is our pride to play for the national team, whatever result or points we are going to end up with we make sure we are going to give our opponents hard times to win and play the game.
So it is not over yet, we win the next two games and we could be also on seven points, it is still on until the end,” said Musona
Meanwhile the Warriors who have already departed Ghana for the reverse fixture against the Black Stars on Tuesday at the National Sports stadium, are confident of turning things around in Harare.
We are going to work on the positives we got from the game and prepare accordingly. We now know how they play and also try to improve on the things we did wrong today,” said Musona.
