Brendan Galloway Scores First Goal For Plymouth
Zimbabwe-born and former Everton defender Brendan Galloway earned a point against Lincoln City after grabbing his first goal for Plymouth Argyle in the 2-2 draw on Saturday in the English football league one encounter.
The 25-year-old, who is in the Warriors squad to face Ghana on the 9th of October in Accra, netted in the 74th minutes to double the scores for Argyle and lead 2-1 before the home side was awarded a penalty in the 90th minutes to level the scores.
It is the left-back’s first goal for the English League one side in 11 matches.
The result leaves Argyle on third position on the log with 20 points from 11 matches played so far.
Galloway who had a great start to his career at MK Dons becoming the English League one’s youngest first team player in 2011 when he made his debut at the age of 15 before signing a five year deal with Everton in 2014 and representing England national team at all junior levels, made a U-turn on his international career in March 2021 after previously snubbing calls from his native country.
He is in the Warriors squad to face Ghana on the 9th of October and currently angling to be eligible for the Harare fixture on the 12th of October after UK authorities announced only vaccinated players will be exempted for red list countries.
Ghana is on the amber list for entering England, which means players are exempted for the 10 day quarantine rule required for those coming from UK’s red list zone, Zimbabwe included.
