Tatenda Mkuruva may have lost his number one spot in the Warriors squad- but the talented goalie proved he is still capable of the outrageous, pulling off a sensational quadruple save in Michigan Stars F.C’s 0-0 draw at home to Chicago House on Saturday.

In a video posted on NISA league Twitter page, the 25-year-old former Warriors Number one goalkeeper showed extraordinary skills after making incredible four reflex save sequence in stoppage time for Michigan Stars F. C’s as he kept another clean sheet to extend his run to four consecutive clean sheets in a row.

The former Dynamos teen star is seen punching the ball away in his first save before quickly blocking a rebound shot with his legs. He parried away the third shot before producing a spectacular dive to punch away the fourth shot, all in eight seconds as the ball finally went out of play for a goal kick.

He is currently in incredible form for Michigan Stars – making four clean sheets in six games played in the NISA league so far this season.

Mkuruva was at Cape Town City from 2016 to 2017, he played another season in Zambia at Buildcon before disappearing and later re-appeared in the United States’ NISA league in 2019.

The former Dynamos shot stopper has 20 national team caps and also played in the AFCON Finals in Gabon. He has represented Zimbabwe national team at all levels from the Under 15, 17, 20, and 23 squad and qualified for the all Africa Games with the U23s.

Michigan Stars are currently sixth on the log with 6 points from six matches.

They will play Detroit City F.C in their next league fixture on Sunday 12th September.
