Kamhuka Ready For Malaysia Challenge!
After enjoying a short but fruitful stint with Maymar’s Ayewady United, Zimbabwe Warriors defender Victor Kamhuka is looking forward to a good start in the Malaysian top flight league with his new club Royal Malaysia Police F. C
The 30-year-old former Dynamos and Black Leopards defender who penned a two year deal with the club last week, said he is now ready for the new challenge and promised to do all he can to make his time in Malaysia a success.
Kamhuka told Soca263 that moving to Malaysia from Maymar is a stepping stone and fufills one of his career ambitions.
“The move is an upgrade for me because the league has more exposure than the one where I was last season and I just want to help the team do better.”
“Malaysian football league is more competitive and much more professional than in Maymar and I am happy for the new challenge,” said Kamhuka
“I have the hunger to be a success here and I will give 100 percent as I have always done for every team I have ever played for.”
Kamhuka has made a remarkable progress in his football career so far moving from the obscurity leagues of India to much more exposed Malaysian top flight league within two years.
He was part of the Warriors squad that faced Algeria in the 2021 AFCON back-to-back qualifiers in November 2020, and could be drafted in the provisional squad to play Zambia, and Botswana, next month.
Kamhuka is currently in camp with his new team preparing for the resumption of football in Malaysia after the 2020/21 Season was abandoned midway, last year, due to Covid-19
The new season is now scheduled to start on the 5th of March 2021.
