Muskwe Gave Another Standout Performance Against Tottenham Hotspur
Zimbabwe Warriors forward Admiral Muskwe gave another good account of himself at Wycombe Wanderers after an impressive game against Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur in the FA cup third round match on Tuesday night.
The 22-year-old Leicester City loanee who was making his second appearance for Wycombe after an impressive debut couple of weeks ago, got the chance to test himself against a top Premier League opposition and did not disappoint.
Although the team eventually lost 1-4 courtesy of goals from Harry Winks and super sub Ndombele, but Muskwe proved he could also mix it with the big boys.
The Zimbabwean looked consistently threatening in front of goal, created two scoring chances for the Chairboys and had one shot on target, which English veteran goalkeeper Joe Hart struggled to keep out.
Despite their poor run in the English Championship, Wycombe surprised Mourinho’s men by taking the lead in the 25th minutes through Onyedinma’s goal.
Tottenham levelled matters just before the halftime break through Gareth Bale.
Muskwe was later substituted in the 72nd minutes for Scott Kashket, but had done a fantastic job for the Chairboys, tallying to a 7.1 over 10 Sofascore rate, making him the best player for Wycombe on the day.
The introduction of Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Tanguy Ndombele brought life into Tottenham’s attack as they shifted gears to win the match in the last minutes of the game through Harry Winks 86′ and Ndombele’s double in the 87′ and 90+3 minutes to progress to the fourth round of the competition where they meet Everton.
