Mokoena & Mbule Pay Visit To Prince Dube In Tanzania
Mamelodi Sundowns stars of Teboho Mokoena and Sipho Mbule took time to visit an old friend Prince Dube during their trip to Tanzania for the Caf Champions league encounter against Burundi’s Bumamuru F. C, which was played at Azam Complex in Tanzania on Friday.
The midfield duo managed to grab some time to visit Azam football club, the club of their former teammate and close friend Prince Dube before their CAF Champions league qualifying encounter against Bumamuru who hosted the South African champions in Tanzania, as their current stadium is not up to the required standards set by the Confederation of African Football.
Mokoena and Mbule however didn’t manage to meet up with Dube personally as he was away in Arusha – the Eastern side of Tanzania with Azam who were playing Mbuni F. C in a friendly encounter, but were welcomed by the Azam marketing team member Mkisi who gifted the duo each with the striker’s number 29 jersey.
The Sundowns pair became close friends with Prince Dube during their time together at SuperSport United from 2017 to 2018 and have remained close ever since.
Mokoena and Mbule both began their professional careers at SuperSport united academy before given their first team breaks in 2017 and never looked back until their big moves to Chloorkop in January and July 2022 respectively.
Dube joined SuperSport united in 2017 and left in 2018 to rejoin his boyhood club Highlanders before moving to Tanzania where he has grown to become a house hold name at the club scoring 26 league goals in two seasons besides being hampered by injuries.
