David Moyo Gets Off To A Flyer At Barrow

David Moyo opened his competitive scoring account for Barrow AFC as the League two side drew 2-2 against Lincoln City before losing 1-3 on penalties in the second round of the EFL cup on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old Zimbabwe Warriors forward who joined Barrow AFC few weeks ago after leaving Scottish Championship side, Hamilton Accademical in May, brought down Patrick Brough’s swinging free-kick in the 18-yard box before slotting it into the bottom left corner to level the scores and register his first goal for the club on his debut.

However, his goal was later overshadowed after the team’s loss on penalties to a very good Lincoln City side as they got knocked out of the EFL cup.

Moyo spent three seasons with Hamilton Accademical, scoring 13 goals in 89 league appearances and will be looking to score more goals for Barrow in their league campaign.
