Mudimu Marks Ankaraspor Debut With A Man Of The Match Performance

Zimbabwe Warriors defender Alec Mudimu convinced all and sundry about his quality after an impressive Ankaraspor debut where they drew nil all to Eskisehirspor on Saturday in the Turkish Lig 1 encounter.

The 25-year-old former Cefn Druids midfielder who completed a shock move from Moldova side Sheriff Tiraspor to Turkish 2nd tier outfit Ankaraspor F. C a week ago, was the best man on the field after tallying 77% pass accuracy, won four tackles, had four Interceptions and won the ball 9 out of ten times and had an overall rating of 7.8 out of 10 more than any other player on the field, according to Sofascore as Ankaraspor drew nil all to Eskisehirspor.

Mudimu was given the start at the center back partnering another Ankaraspor debutant and Turkish international, Ercan Yazici.

The draw against Eskisehirspor came as a breath of fresh air for Ankaraspor who are currently on a poor run of form and had suffered defeat in their previous four league matches.

Coach Mehmek Ak seemed to have strike the right center back partnership as both Mudimu & Yazici had stellar performances at the back helping the team to keep their first clean sheet in four games.

They are currently at the bottom of the log with 10 points from 18 games.
