ASTON VILLA BOSS NOMINATED FOR EPL MANAGER OF THE MONTH

Marvelous Nakamba’s boss at Aston Villa Dean Smith has been shortlisted for October’s Premier League Manager of the Month award.

The 52-year-old English manager masterminded Aston Villa’s shock 7-2 victory over defending champions Liverpool and an impressive 1-0 triumph away at Leicester City, as the team claimed six points from three league matches in the month of October to continue their impressive start to the 2020/21 Season.

Smith is shortlisted for the award alongside Nuno Espirito Santo (Wolves), Ralph Hasenhuttl (Southampton), Jose Mourinho (Tottenham Hotspur) and David Moyes (West Ham United), who also kick-started the season on a good note.

Meanwhile, Marvelous Nakamba has only featured once in the premier league so far this season, with Smith opting for new signing Ross Barkley and Brazilian, Douglas Luiz combination so far.
