Junior Zindoga Scored His First Goal For Marumo Gallants
Former Yadah F.C and Maritzburg United forward Junior Zindoga scored his first goal for Marumo Gallants in only his second match for the club as they beat Amazulu 1-0 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup on Saturday.
The talented 26-year-old forward, who was signed three weeks ago from Eswatini’s Nsingizini Hotspur, showcased his potential with a stunning solo effort in the 18th minute of the game to not only secure a vital win for his team but also highlighted the skill and flair he brings to the pitch.
Zindoga is a product of BNC Academy who started his professional football at St George’s College where he was sent to Sweden’s Djugardens F.C. in 2017 for a six-week trial period when he was only 18 years old. On his return, he was signed by Maritzburg United where he played in the Diski Challenge (development side) for a season before returning home in 2020 to represent Ngezi Platinum and Yadah F.C.
His journey to Marumo Gallants has been a testament to his hard work and determination. His time at Nsingizini Hotspur saw him develop into a formidable player, and his recent transfer marks a significant step in his career.
He made his debut for Marumo Gallants in the 2-0 defeat against Amazulu in the Betway premiership on the 7th of February 2025.
The goal he scored was a perfect blend of pace, agility, and precision, leaving defenders in his wake and demonstrating why he was sought after by the South African club.
Zindoga’s burgeoning partnership with compatriot Daniel Msendami, who is already a key player for Gallants. The two players have quickly developed a strong on-field chemistry, with Msendami’s experience complementing Zindoga’s youthful exuberance. Their combination play has the potential to become a cornerstone of Gallants’ attacking strategy, and fans are eager to see how they will evolve together as the season progresses.
