Mushekwi Maintains Incredible Goal Scoring Form In China

Veteran former Zimbabwe Warriors striker Nyasha Mushekwi continues to defy age as he keeps maintaining his incredible goal scoring form at his new club Yunani Yakun in the Chinese league one.

The 36-year-old former Zhejiang forward banged his second brace in a row as his team beat Dalian Zhixing 3-0 in the league one encounter to take his goal tally to an incredible 12 goals in 14 matches.

The Zimbabwean scored in the 51st minutes and 83rd minutes as Yunani Yakun registered a 0-3 away win to Dalian Zhixing.

Mushekwi who has been leading the top scorer charts since the beginning of the the season, has extended his lead with a four goal cushion ahead of Geovanny who has 8 goals for Guangxi Pinnguo.

The former Caps United forward has been on fire since joining Yunani Yakun in March 2024 from Zhejiang, scoring in six matches in a role for the newly promoted league one side after his debut.

Yunani Yakun are currently leading the league one log table with 33 points from 14 games followed by Chongqing Togliangloong with 31 points from as many games.

This is Mushekwi’s third stinct in the Chinese top two leagues after playing for Dalian Yifang from 2016 to 2019 scoring 54 goals in 90 appearances and Zhejiang from 2019 to 2023 making 118 appearance and the club’s record all time scorer with 72 goals.
