Baka On The Mark To Rescue A Point For El Palo

Abubakar Moffat’s brilliant goal earned El Palo a 1-1 draw at home to Atletico Antoniano in the Segunda Federation Group IV (which is the fourth tier in Spanish football system) round six match on Sunday.

The 25-year-old midfielder put the gloss on a fine individual performance after 59 minutes to claim his first goal of the season in six league matches as he rescue a point for El Palo who now have five points from six league matches.

With CA Antoniano’s short of ideas, Moffat’s goal looked to have been the difference between the two sides.

The former Zimbabwe under-23 midfielder joined El Palo at the end of December 2022 from CD Estopona and has already established himself as a regular starter at the club after a fine performance in his debut season with the club featuring in sixteen league matches and scoring a goal to his name from the midfield position.

Baka has been in Spain since 2018 starting at Velez academy before moving to CD Almunica, FC Malaga, CD Estepona and El Palo respectively.
