Nakamba Allays Fears After Forced Off With An Injury

Marvelous Nakamba may have caused worry among his fans at Luton Town after subbed off with an injury on Sunday, but the Zimbabwean midfielder has since confirmed that there is “nothing to worry about“.

The 29-year-old Aston Villa defensive midfielder who is on a season loan at Luton Town, came off in the 68th minutes on his home debut as his team went on to lose 0-1 to Championship log leaders Burnley on Saturday.

Despite the injury Nakamba had put on a commendable performance to help neutralise the ‘in form’ Burnley attack.

The Clarets only managed to break the deadlock in the 78th minutes through a penalty, ten minutes after Nakamba left the pitch due to an injury and replaced by

“Unlucky today and nothing to worry about. Time to recover, we go again next week.” Nakamba posted on his IG page soon after the game.

Although the club didn’t give an update on his Injury, Nakamba could be available for the next encounter against Birmingham City on Saturday.

The Zimbabwean has been in good form ever since he joined the Hatters at the end of January playing four games and help keeping the defence line tight, with the team yet to concede a goal in open play in all four games that Nakamba has featured.

Luton has only conceded three goals from penalties in all four games that Nakamba has been involved so far.

The Hatters are on fourth position in the Championship log table with 50 points from 32 games.
