Adam Chicksen In Impressive Form At Notts County

Zimbabwe Warriors defender Adam Chicksen is currently in an impressive form for Notts County in the English national league after scoring the only goal of the match to secure a 1-0 win over Log leaders Solihull and continue with their unbeaten run in the league.

The 30-year-old England born left-back claims all three points for the Magpies with a calm side-foot volley across Moulden after a neat passage of play.

Chicksen has been a regular for the Notts County so far this season starting in all six league matches, helping the team to fourth place on the log with 12pts three wins and three draws so far this season.

The dependable Zimbabwe international defender first joined Notts County early in the 2020-21 season, and has since established himself as a popular figure among team-mates and supporters thanks to his determined attitude and consistent performances either on the left of a back three or at wing-back.

Chicksen was last month given an extension on his contract to stay at Meadow Lane for a season further after impressing for the team.

His goal against Solihull was his first for the season and adds to his outstanding performances so far – where he recently emerged as the player with 3rd highest pass completion rate in the National League with a 93.22%.

‘He epitomises what is required’ – Luke Williams the Notts Head Coach was full of praise for Adam Chicksen after helping secure the three points against high flying Solihull.

“The key thing is that Adam Chicksen will be defending off our posts and he will attack that far post in a blink of an eye because of his willingness.

I think for me he kind of epitomises what is required because he played 90 minutes two days ago, play again today and he is there the whole time.

Of course you have to worry so much about (the availability of other players), but he makes that position time and time again and he got a goal he deserved,” said Williams.
