Bonne, Fabisch & Maswanhise Included In Latest Warriors Squad

Warriors Interim coach Norman Mapeza has finally announced his 25-man Warriors squad to face South Africa and Ethiopia in the final world cup qualifiers on the 11th and 14th of November respectively.

The squad which has been heavily depleted due to injuries to key players that include skipper Knowledge Musona, rising star Jordan Zemura, star defender Teenage Hadebe, midfield strong hold Marshall Munetsi, has been given a new hope with the availability of inform Queens Park Rangers forward on loan to Ipswich Town Macauley Bonne, exciting young talent Leicester City’s Tawanda Maswanhise and the recall of another future prospect Germany based midfielder Jonah Fabisch who did not get a chance in his first call against South Africa and Ethiopia in September.

Leicester City youngster Tawanda Maswanhise received his first call to the national team after making a huge progress in his Leicester City career including making his debut for the senior team in a pre-season encounter against Burton Albion. The 18-year-old has so far scored three goals in nine matches for the development side.

Macauley Bonne marks his return to the national team after making his debut in November 2017. He is currently in good goal scoring form for Ipswich Town where he has scored 11 goals in 15 appearances.

Ishmael Wadi was also rewarded with a call after a good start in the Glad African Championship where he has banged six goals in 11 matches for JDR.

In goalkeeping department Mapeza made overall changes bringing in talented Dynamos goalie Taimon Mvula alongside seasoned Warriors goalies Donovan Bernard (Chicken Inn) and Petros Mhari of FC Platinum to replace Washington Arubi, Talbert Shumba and Spanish based Martin Mapisa who was asked by his team to remain due to lost of regular senior players through injuries.
