Zimbabwe Premier League Champions F. C Platinum are targeting for a third consecutive appearance in the Confederations of African Football Champions League group stages after going through to the first round.
The Platinum Miners completed a double against Mozambique ‘s CD DoSol in the preliminary round, beating them 1-2 and 2-0 respectively to book a date with Tanzania’s Simba SC for a group stage berth.
The Zimbabwe Champions will host Simba SC in the first leg on the 23rd of December at the National sports stadium in Harare before completing the second leg on the 6th of January 2021 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium In Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
The winner between the two will qualify for the group stages of Africa’s premier inter-club competition.
The Platinum miners first made it through to the group stages of the Champions league in 2018
They have gone on to qualify for the group stages on two occasions and are now on the cusp of a third consecutive appearance in the lucrative Champions League phase.
