NAKAMBA FEATURES AS ASTON VILLA DEMOLISH LIVERPOOL
Zimbabwe Warriors midfield maestro Marvelous Nakamba was part of the history making Aston Villa side that demolished defending champions Liverpool 7-2 yesterday in the English premier League as they continue with their incredible start to the season.
The 25-year-old former Club Brugge strongman came in the 80th minute for the Brazilian star Douglaz Luiz and had seven touches of the ball and an accurate pass rate of 84%.
Villa’s new signing Ollie Watkins was the hero of the day as he grabbed a hattrick before the half-time to go to the break on a 4-1 win with Mohammed Salah pulling one for Liverpool.
Another new signing Ross Barkley added to the tally in the second half as he grabbed his first for Villa. Scotts man John McGinn and captain fantastic Jack Grealish compounded Liverpool’s miseries with a goal and brace respectively to make it 7-2 for Villa. Mohammed Salah added his second for the night to double the scores for Liverpool.
This is the second league appearance for Nakamba in three premier league games for Aston Villa so far this season.
