KAMAMBO OUTLINES WARRIORS’ TRAVELLING ARRANGEMENTS FOR MALAWI FRIENDLY

Zimbabwe Football Association president Felton Kamambo has given a blueprint of Warriors’ travel arrangements to Malawi where they are scheduled to play in an international friendly match against Malawi’s Flame Lilly.

Kamambo is confident the team will depart Harare for Malawi on Tuesday or Wednesday via a Chartered flight after getting travel clearance from the government.

“The situation is still the same, but we had a meeting on Friday and agreed to put in place protocols, specifically for FC Platinum (who are supposed to compete in the CAF Champions League next month), and the national team that will travel to Malawi,” he said.

“We are expecting responses probably by Monday (today).

“We expect our national team to travel either Tuesday or Wednesday once we get the approval.

“All the players and officials will be tested for Covid-19 in line with the health and safety protocols.

Foreign based players who include Belgian based star Knowledge Musona, Khama Billiat (South Africa), Marvelous Nakamba (England) and Tino Kadewere (France) are expected to feature in the only friendly match ahead of Africa cup of nations qualifier double header against defending champions, Algeria
