Takudzwa Gwanzura Another Exciting Warriors Prospect Coming Up In The English Football Ranks
Zimbabwe Warriors prospect Takudzwa Gwanzura recently enjoyed a special moment in his career after making his first-team debut for English League One side Blackpool at only 16 years of age.
The lanky center-back who joined Blackpool from Everton in January as an under-16 was introduced in the second half of Blackpool’s nil-all draw against Liverpool U21 in the Bristol City Motors trophy on Wednesday evening to mark his first team debut, with Liverpool eventually winning the points after an 8-7 penalty shootout.
Gwanzura is currently with Blackpool’s under-18s, where he has quickly established himself, and judging by his performance during his first-team debut against Liverpool U21, the talented youngster has a bright future ahead of him.
Standing at 6’3 feet, Gwanzura has a good height for a central defender, and he is quick, and confident with strong defensive skills and ball distribution. His attributes have placed him as one of the top talents to watch out for in English Football.
Born in England to a Zimbabwean father, Gwanzura is eligible to play for both England and Zimbabwe, but the youngster has shown huge interest in representing the Warriors.
