Muskwe Thrown Straight Into Match Day Squad After Loan Move

Zimbabwe Warriors forward Admiral Muskwe was thrown straight into Exeter City match day squad in their 0-1 win against league one rivals Burton Albion on Sunday, just three days after completing his loan move from Luton Town on the transfer deadline.

The 25-year-old former Leicester City academy player was introduced in the 68th minutes to mark his debut for the league one side after joining in on the 1st of September 2023 on a season long loan deal.

Soon after Muskwe’s introduction, Exeter City found the back of the net through Ryan Trivett whose shot slightly grazed on Muskwe’s leg before going in to lead 0-1 in the 75th minutes.

The Zimbabwean has been struggling to pin a starting position in the Hatters first team managing only 22 appearances and scored two goals since joining them in July 2021.

He spent most of last season on loan at Fleetwood Town where he featured 17 times and scored three goals.

Muskwe, who came through Leicester City’s academy, has also played for Wycombe and Swindon whilst earning five international caps for Zimbabwe Warriors.

He will have a chance to prove himself against his Luton Town teammates when they play against each other on the 26th of September in an FA cup third round fixture.
