Nakamba Not Fazed Despite Luton Town’s Poor Start In The Premier League

Marvelous Nakamba remains confident of turning things around following Luton Town’s dismal start to their first ever premier league campaign.

The Hatters were thrashed to a 3-0 loss against Chelsea on Saturday night, a result which sees Nakamba and his team winless in their first two premier league outings.

Luton Town have no points at the moment out of a possible six, after their first defeat against Brighton Hove Albion in the opening week of the English premier league.

The Zimbabwean, though, is adamant his team is here to compete and that positive results will come despite the fact that they have started on the back foot.

“When you don’t win a game, it is a bit frustrating. But in football situations like this happen. We have to keep fighting,” Nakamba said.

Asked by a SuperSportTv reporter how they feel about the value of Chelsea midfielder Moises Cancedo who worth £115 million compared to £25,74 million the value of the whole Luton Town squad. The former Club Brugge defensive midfielder looked unconcerned about the subject before adding on, “Whatever opponent you are facing you just have to compete.

We are in the premier league now. We fought for it to be on the highest level. It is a dream for everyone to play at the highest level and compete with the best. We just have to embrace it,”

“We have the challenge in front of us. We are in the same league now we just have to give everything and I believe as a team we are here to compete, ” said Marvelous Nakamba.

Luton Town will now shift focus to the FA cup, where they will play against Macauley Bonnie’s league two side Gillingham on Tuesday night in the second round before they return to the premier league matches with a date at home against West Ham on the 1st of September.
