British born Zimbabwean rising star Shumaira Mheuka is definitely destined for great things in the near future as he began life at Chelsea like a roof on fire and already becoming indispensable for the Chelsea under-16 team .
The 14-year-old highly talented forward who made his Chelsea debut at a Euro-Under-16 tournament in Germany in August 2022 where he won the golden boot award, scored his second consecutive hattrick for the under-16 in the team’s 5-0 win over Port Vale on Saturday 15th October having scored his first hattrick in 4-2 win against Everton last weekend.
The fast paced teenage star has now scored 10 goals in six outings for the under-16 since he completed his move to Chelsea from Brighton Hove in August 2022.
Mheuka scored his first goal for the Blues against Union Berlin at the Euro-Under-16 tournament in August, followed by another goal in 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich before bagging a brace against the same opponents in the 3rd & 4th place play offs to finish the tournament as the top goal scorer with four goals.
His latest back to back hattricks against Everton and Port Vale respectively are his first goals in the under-16 premier league cup where they have played three games winning two and losing one- a loss they suffered in their opening game of the season.
Mheuka has played non-binding games for England at U15 level and recently earned his maiden call-up to the U16s where he featured in one of the two games against Italy, but he is also eligible to play for Zimbabwe warriors.
