Kuleya Makes League Debut In Rovers’ Dramatic Win

Tavonga Kuleya made his English League two debut for Doncaster Rovers on Saturday on a positive note as his side came from behind to snatch a dramatic 2-1 win at home to Sutton.

Although the 18-year-old attacking midfieder was not among the scorers in his first league match, his introduction in the 80th minutes to join up Kieran Agard in attack, provided Doncaster Rovers with the spark they were lacking much of the game.

George Miller finally get off the mark for the home team after heading home in the 92nd minute to level the scores, before substitute Kieran Agard struck the winner in the final 94th minute to give Rovers a late win and register three points on their first league match at home.

Kuleya who was born in England to Zimbabwean parents, has been with Rovers since the age of 14 and made his debut for the senior team in November 2021 against Scunthorpe United.

He was recently offered a professional contract at the League two side and is one of the brighter prospects to look forward to as the season progresses.
