More Options Emerges For Kadewere Amid OL Exit Rumors

With Tinotenda Kadewere heavily linked with a possible departure from Olympique Lyonnais, it has emerged more exit routes could be available for the Zimbabwean as the French club Joins John Textor’s “global talent network.”

At the beginning of the week, John Textor acquired 40% shares from Lyon, adding the French Ligue 1 side to the list of clubs owned by the American businessman that includes Brazilian top tier side Botafogo, Crystal Palace from the English Premier League, RWD Molenbeek, a second division outfit in Belgium who are vying for promotion in the top tier, and FC Florida from the USA.

Exchanges and transfers between partner clubs are reportedly a routine for teams owned by John Textor.

According to Brazilian sports publication Lance, Batofogo who recently joined the ‘Textor network,’ have already received players from co-clubs such as Dylan Talero who came after making his name at FC Florida, so as Nico Hamalainen who began his career at the US-based club and Sébastien Joffery who joined the Brazilian side from Crystal Palace.

Kadewere has been named as one of the players that will leave Lyon this summer after a poor 21-22 season that has seen him featuring in 20 matches, three starts and a goal to his name compared to previous seasons where he had scored 10 goals in 33 appearances- on the back of winning the golden boot in Ligue 2 with Le Havre.

The arrival of new players at OL have further deminished hopes of Kadewere getting a chance in the team thereby increasing speculation of his departure .

Few teams have shown interest for Kadewere, with French Ligue 1 side Stade Brestos the only side to publicly announce their interest for the forward.

But OL’s recent partnership with John Textor has fueled further speculations of players without places at OL transferred ‘internally to other clubs owned by Textor.

Although nothing has officially been announced but Crystal Palace and Brazilian giants Batofogo seem to be ideal destinations for Kadewere

It has never happened before for an OL player to move to Brazil or a Zimbabwean player to Brazil for that matter, but with John Textor around anything is possible.

Kadewere’s represantatives are currently engaged in negotiations with OL to map the way forward for the player.
