Zemura Receives Player Of The Month Award
Rising Zimbabwe Warriors left-back Jordan Zemura continues to shine for AFC Bournemouth after receiving the club’s Player of the Month award for August.
The 21-year-old London-born star received 33, 8% of the votes on the Cherries Twitter page to finish ahead of clubs top scorer with three goals Dominic Solanke (29,3%), Jaidon Anthony (24,6%) and Philip Billing (12,2%) respectively.
It is yet another senior team achievement for Zemura, who was recently named in the English Championship League team of the week after a man of the match performance in a goaless draw against Hull City on the 28th of August.
The highly-rated left-back made his first EFL league start of the season against West Bromwich Albion on the 6th of August and has been brilliant ever since, starting in all five league matches and contributing to two clean sheets and the Cherries’ unbeaten Championship start.
The versatile defender has featured twice for Zimbabwe Warriors, having made his international debut against Algeria in 2020 Africa cup of nations qualifier.
He is part of the UK-Based Warriors who were refused to travel for the World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Ethiopia due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.
