Spain-based former Zimbabwe Under-23 midfielder, Abubakar Moffat has signed for Spanish Tercera Division side CD Estepona from FC Malaga Academy on a permanent deal.
The 23-year-old midfield maestro has been on target with several clubs in Spain after impressing for FC Malaga City last season where he played a pivotal role in helping the side gain promotion to Spanish Division D’Honor, but CD Estepona were quick to secure the talented midfielder’s services.
CD Estepona who are in the Tercera Division (3rd Division ) and fourth tier in the Spanish league system, announced the signing of the former Aces Academy graduate on their website.

“He is a player with great physical power and very supportive in the defensive work of his team,”
“In addition, he has experience in the 3rd Division with Vélez CF, in the Vivar Téllez team he coincided with our sports director Lucas Cazorla who is the person who has bet the most for his signing,”
Baka who started his career at Ring Marovers in Mufakose before joining Aces Youth Academy, joined FC Malaga City Academy in 2018 after an impressive season with CD Almunecar, the midfielder was signed by Tercera Division side Vélez City where he was a regular the whole 2019 campaign.
Baka who moved to Spain alongside fellow Aces Academy graduate and Warriors goalkeeper Martin Mapisa has been capped at the Zimbabwe Under-23 national team and is one of the future prospects for the senior national team.
