Returnees Boost FC Platinum Ahead Of CAF Confederations Campaign
After a shock exit from this year’s CAF Champions league, FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza is looking to strengthen his squad ahead of their CAF Confederations cup campaign with the signing of two former expatriates in Donald Ngoma and Blessing Moyo.
The Platinum miners announced the signing of the duo via their social media platform
“FC Platinum announces the club’s reunion with Donald Ngoma whose last club was Azam FC until 2020. The striker comes with experience to boost the frontline. Blessing Moyo also joins the club. The young defender last played for Real Kings NFD South Africa,’’ posted FC Platinum.
Ngoma (31) left the Platinum miners in 2016 to Tanzania side Young Africans where he won two premier league titles and one domestic Cup before winning a couple more silverware with Azam after scoring 20 goals plus 4 assits in 42 matches, comes with huge experience to boost the Platinum miners’ front line ahead of their second bite in the inter-continental club football this season.
Blessing Moyo the former Dynamos defender also joined FC Platinum from South Africa’s NFD side Real Kings.
Moyo (25) left Zimbabwe in 2016 to join Maritzburg United of South Africa from Harare City but failed to maintain the form that saw him being one of the best defenders in the castle larger premier soccer league and was now with National First Division side Real Kings.
Platinum will begin their Confederation of African Football round of 32 campaign with a fixture against ASC Diaraf of Senegal in February
The first leg is scheduled for the National Sports Stadium on the 14th February with the return leg following a week after.
