Zimbabwe midfieder Abubakar ‘Baka’ Mofat has opted to extend his stay at CD Estepona with another year after winning title and promotion to Third RFEF division with the club.
According to the club website, ” the 24-year-old midfielder was one of the priorities of the sports management team to return to the club after winning promotion and will continue to defend the colors of CD ESTEPONA in the 3rd RFEF after agreeing to another one year contract extension,” read the report.
The former Aces Youth Academy graduate has been one of the most outstanding players on the red team, featuring in 30 games scoring 4 goals in the season as they went on to win the league title and promotion after acquiring 86 points from 36 matches.
BAKA arrived at CD Estepona last summer at the back of winning promotion with FC Malaga City. He has risen to become one of the idols of the Estepona fans and a player who is highly appealing to other teams but has happily opted for the renewal proposed by the club Sports Director José María Pajares.
The former Zimbabwe Under-23 midfield lynchpin who was also on target with clubs in Belgian top flight will be aiming for another successful season with the club in the third RFEF division.
