Zemura Signs Another Contract Extension At AFC Bournemouth
Zimbabwe Warriors rising star Jordan Zemura has been rewarded with another contract extension at AFC Bournemouth after putting pen to paper to a new deal that will end until 2023.
The 22-year-old dynamic left-back has been a surprise package for the Cherries since his breakthrough to the first team at the beginning of the season, making 22 appearances out of the team’s 31 Sky bet Championship matches played so far and scoring three goals in the process.
Remarkably, AFC Bournemouth have only lost once and registered 17 out of their 18 wins so far this season with the Zimbabwean in the team.
The Cherries are now second in the Championship league log table with 61 points from 31 games, 9 points away from the log leaders Fulham who are on 70 points after 33 games.
Zemura has also become an integral part of the Zimbabwe Warrior’s squad after making his debut against Algeria on November 2020 and represented the country in January’s Africa Cup of nations campaign that was hosted in Cameroon.
Zemura, who got another one year contract extension in December 2020 was set to see his contract run out in the summer.
But Cherries have moved now to trigger another one-year extension for the Zimbabwean star along side his best friend and teammate Jaidon Anthony who also has made an immediate impact in the Bournemouth squad.
Zemura’s form at Cherries has seen him linked with the likes of Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Leicester City during the course of the season.
