Prince Dube ‘Ok’ After Injury Scare
Azam team doctor Dr. Mwandani Mwankemwa has confirmed Prince Dube is okay and fit to play in the next encounter after fears of yet another injury in the team’s 3-1 win against Rhino Rangers on Wednesday to reach the semi-finals of the Azam Sports Federations or the Tanzanian FA Cup .
The Tanzania premier league’s leading goal scorer, Dube (23) left the field of play in visible pain, just eight minutes into the game, giving Azam and Warriors fans plenty of reason for concern as Azam prepare for a semi-final battle against Simba SC in the Federations cup.
However, according to the team doctor, Dube has recovered and is doing well.
Dr. Mwankemwa confirmed Dube complained of a stomach ache before the game, but the aching disappeared and was given a first start – only for the pain to return during the game forcing the coach to substitute him in the eigth minute.
But now he is okay and ready to play in Azam’s next encounter against Simba SC who beat Dodoma to reach the semi-finals of the Tanzanian FA cup.
Azam are third on the Tanzania vodacome premier league log table with 60 points from 30 games and have three games left to complete the season.
