{"id":3416,"date":"2022-09-28T05:00:59","date_gmt":"2022-09-28T05:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/soca263updates.com\/?p=3416"},"modified":"2022-09-28T05:47:49","modified_gmt":"2022-09-28T05:47:49","slug":"chiwome-named-named-in-guardians-next-generation-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/soca263updates.com\/?p=3416","title":{"rendered":"Chiwome Named In Guardian&#8217;s Next Generation 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Wolves academy forward Leon Chiwome has made it to the list of Guardian&#8217;s Next Generation 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 16-year-old promising young forward is the only player with Zimbabwean roots to be selected among a host of talented youths coming up the ranks in the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chiwome was included in the official list released on the 27th of September by the British daily newspaper. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Guardian&#8217;s Next Generation every year features the 20 most promising youth in England, one at each Premier League club born between 1 September 2005 and 31 August 2006, an age band known as first time scholars <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And Chiwome has been a revelation since joining Wolves from AFC Wimbledon in the summer scoring on his u18s debut. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The youngster who is born to a British mother and a Zimbabwean father has already scored two goals in his first three matches for Wolves U-18s. He also made a cameo off the bench in the U21s EFL trophy victory against Shrewsbury Town at the end of August. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wolves academy manager Jonathan Hunter Barrett believes the Zimbabwean has all what it takes to be a world class striker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;What we saw in him was an excellent profile for a center forward, who is big strong and quick,&#8221; said Barrett<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;He is very keen to learn and get on the ball, and he knows where the back of the net is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chiwome is eligible to play for both England and Zimbabwe at international level, but the youngster has already shown his passion to represent the Warriors. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wolves academy forward Leon Chiwome has made it to the list of Guardian&#8217;s Next Generation 2022.
